V5 help please.........

I've rather stupidly lost the V5 for my Bitter SC, which is further complicated by the fact that I live in Jersey. Could some kind soul point me in the right direction, I can provide a UK address for the new V5 to be sent to,

as im guessing you havent had it registered in your name yet, and you dont have the wee green slip v5/2, you must apply on a v62 (downloadable from dvla) and aply along with a cheque for £25. if you have the green slip then send it instead of £25. They will send previous reg keeper a letter to check they dont have any objections to you requesting a v5, if no responce from previous then they will issue one. unless it was notified as "in trade", in which case the process is quicker. hth, Lee

Phoned up DVLA, and a very nice man told me how to procure a "certificate of export" form, filled it in, faxed it off, here's hoping!

Who uses fax's these days? I wouldnt know where to even find one!

They won't accept scans, apparently. I suspect it's because you'd have to send it to a specific staff member, and you might get all sorts sent..............
