206 shite to offload

Colleague at work has just ordered a new Alfa Giulietta (ho ho ho) on the work lease scheme thing, and with the imminent arrival of this ultra-reliable piece of Italy's finest engineering is looking to get shot of her trusty 206. She wants to give it to webuyanycrap.com for about 25p, because it's a bit dented and rusty. But then I found out it's got 11 months' ticket and 6 months' tax.

So, before it goes off to the great Peugeot rest home in the sky, any takers for...

X-reg, 2001

(I'm checking whether it's petrol or diseasal, and mileage)

Passenger-side door lets in the rain (bent back to break in)

Underside of the bonnet is "badly rusted" (though presumably not that badly if you can only see it on the underside - strange place to rust?)

Location east London ish - so probably lowish mileage to go with the parking scabs.

Any interest and I'll get more info and pics ... or any thoughts on rough and ready value and best place to offload (she's nervous of trying to sell privately, but I reckon a 206 with that tax and ticket will take about 15 seconds to shift at the right price).

PICZ and Megabus prices please.

Pics, more details and price requested. I reckon matching the webuyanycar price would likely seal the deal for a London pick-up (or she hails from Birkenhead, so that might work in some way for a bit extra?).

Most girls from Birkenhead are up for a "bit extra", In fact whoever said that women are made of sugar and spice and all things nice has clearly never celebrated buying a Austin Maestro by performing oral sex on a girl from Tranmere.

If there's any sort of 'second dibs' arrangement for this 206 then Cavcraft (Peugeot Spac-ialists) may be interested.

You're probably batting in the wrong ballpark in this particular case, if you catch my drift

Noted... I think she must have gone to sleep as she hasn't answered my messages yet. I hope she'll send some nice pics in the morning - and I will persuade her that paying someone to take it away is not the best thing to do.

Bit more info...

Born 5/9/2000, 1.4 pez 3-door, blue

92k

1 owner from new :)

Thatcham alarm (plus factory immob)

Various dents and battle scars

Another few weeks till it's available (current tax is till 1/3/13 so presumably it'll have 6 months fresh). Photos promised at the weekend, so hold on to your excitement till then!

I have no idea how much is a fair price, especially as it's not mine, but looking at sold prices on the bay, £500 plus the tax seems reasonable? Delivery to Claimland possible for the petrol etc.

I have to say at £500 I'm defo out. Sadly the chances of 'We buy any old bollocks' paying even a quarter of that are akin to mine of winning sports personality of the year for the 6,000 yard sprint.

It will sell though, I'm not dissing the car!

We have been spoilt by our £100 cars, now we always want to buy at £100 have a cheap train fare to fetch it and have a Megabus tow it home for us! My £100 Rover is still running very well.

Def scope for offers here I think. Offer from WBAC was £290 - though assume they'll beat that down a bit more. Add £70 for the tax and a little bit to make it worthwhile and the £400+ territory seems reasonable (I may have been a tad optimistic in suggesting 500+tax...).

I sell quite a lot of 206's at the moment, £450 with the tax is about all it worth now tops. Peugeot 206 prices have come down quite a lot in the last couple of months. The one I had last month a 1999 1.4 with 99k cost £300 trade and only made £550 retail. It had some of the normal Peugeot dents but with no rust, rusty bonnets seem quite common now as well as the sills filling up with water and going rusty . The best thing to do would be to change the bonnet for one the same colour from a scrapyard.

I have a slightly oily haynes manual from my old 206, as well as a brand new unpainted chineeeze front passenger wing if anyone here buys it and needs them.

I miss mine, any chance of anyone selling a 2.0HDI one around september time?
