...can anybody recommend a decent painter for my SD1 in the Warrington area?

 

Car will very soon be in a position to have paint applied (to both flanks). I had toyed with the idea of buying a compressor and having a go myself, however it would appear that one in excess of 150L capacity would be required to paint and use air tools - they are in the region of £500 new and take up quite a bit of room, smaller capacity items just continually stop due to the receiver becoming exhausted quickly.

 

Any advice appreciated - have done too much work on the car to finish it off with rattle cans. The last time I paid to have paint done it cost me around £250 to have a rear quarter and door done. No doubt it has gone up even more.

i dont know of a painter, but.....

 

i have a sd1 towbar and a good rad from an auto, with the cooler and pipes etc

 

any good to you?

Might not be close enough (about 1 hr from Warrington...) but I've used Monmouth Garage in Burnley for paint and they've done a damn good job and are not too expensive either.
