Any further details? I could do with a tow car.

I reckon this would be ideal for my monthly trip to Essex to buy pharmaceuticals.

Nice machine, but needs the usual. :D

If someone is willing to do the welding then they've got a real iconic vehicle.

Working on it. Work wanting 14 hour days has precluded collection!

HI All

I was tired last night, so a few details weren't typed lol!

Its a Manual, Its in Preston Lancs.

It was running great, never let me down, then it started using a bit of water a couple of weeks ago, I let it get a bit hot once, then last week it stalled at a junction & wouldn't restart.

So rather than go through the stress of garages (I'm not mechanically minded) its time to move it on.

Been offered £250 for scrap, but its worth more than that with the LPG Kit, Alarm/Immobiliser, etc

It is a bit frilly & it does need stalling in 5th under petrol but I'm told this is because its timing is advanced so it runs better on the LPG

Hoping to get rid in the next week as hopefully this sale will pay for my Ice Driving adventure in Sweden on the 20th Feb!

Cheers

Why is that not long gone, Is everyone saving for a new Vauxhall? There's some good points there, no aircon that will never work again and rob the interior of cubby holes, no ABS system to flash the warning light constantly whatever you do, no electric motors on the seats with the fried controller that wont have allowed adjustment since 1998, and those cloth seats are as comfy as you'll get, and LPG so not crazy expensive to run.

Sounds like underslung tanks, which is no good for me. Also not sure how I'd get it home...

Getting it home is piss easy, Ian.

An afternoons work to put a big gas tank in the boot. Tank, valve, conduit, 6' piping, couple of unions about £200. Some lucky heather, £1, should keep the engine liners from slipping.

Dare I say it, but stick it on Ebay for £995 with some good pics and a write up. Some fools have these up for sale for 25 grand - obviously this isn't worth that even when fixed but £400 seems too cheap when everyone else is bigging up the values.

If it's too cheap, buyers assume it's rubbish.

I've been spending far too much time on Ebay lately. Certainly seems that there's no such thing as a cheap Rangie these days. I'd echo the above.
