Monte Carlo Rally Glasgow

Did any fellow shitters go along? It was a great day. Where did all those people come from? Buchannan St was just full of petrolheads viewing the cars on display. You could not really get near them due to the crowds. Apparently the display on Buchannan St was to be around 50 cars, but this was cut back to 10 cars for some reason.

The start line was at Glasgow Green, & again just chock full of people. I got there nice and early and got a good view point for the start. Great! I thought I'll get some good shots here, but just before kick off the official Photographers set up camp in front ogf me. GRRRRR too late to move now as its chocka!

Great stuff. Presume that modern Holden is a support vehicle for their classic entry.

I was hoping to work at this, or at the least get along to see it. But alas, the manflu struck :(

Some great motors...

I knew it was on and sort of felt like I should have made the effort but the weather was shit and I knew it would be rammed so I didn't bother.

Holden was indeed a support car for 2 other Holdens. Out of the 100 or so cars, around 40 of those are planning on reaching Monte Carlo.

The weather was not too bad, dry but chilly. I was out from 10 am until I left Glasgow Green at the back of 3. If it was pissing down, I would have given up much earlier. It was a toss up of more work on the BX, or going to this!

Aye, I was going to head up to Dumfries way to catch it but brassicness meant that I sadly could not go.

GR12 stuff - I would have been there if I hadn't had to stay in for the dreaded gas man. Still judging by the sounds of things I'd have got there too late and not been able to fight through the crowds.

The gas man, eh? That's the name of a new sexual position:

You're in all day and nobody comes...
