Best time/method to sell "classic" car

Liepedia: "the car was entered in seventeen more national and international rallies until 1975, either being placed or winning class honours in twelve of them, the others being crashes/failures."

Hardly the Lancia Delta of the 1970s.

As soon as the words desirable and collectable are used, my eyes just glaze over. Mark 5 Cortinas, Marinas and Sierras are none of those things. They're just old cars that were about as desirable as a motorway breakfast when new and which now represent cheap and 'different' motoring.

If a Marina lover does happen to have 7.5 large in the bank, I hope to God his horizons are wider than some shitbox from the seventies. The whole point of cars like these is that they're cheap.

I think for many enthusiasts common sense and logic go out the window where classic cars are concerned. I could see a Marinophile parting with £3000 for that, mint original stuff will always find a home.

Didn't a Maestro van go for over 4k recently?
