STOLEN! Ford Focus - now safe and sound.

Hope no-one minds me posting this.

Good friends of mine had their green Ford Focus stolen last night from the Walkley area of Sheffield. Thieves got in through the back door and helped themselves to a coat with the car keys in it. The car's got their little boy's car seat in the back.

They are a really lovely couple who can't afford the excess or increased insurance premiums so they could really do with the car back undamaged. If you're in the Sheffield/South Yorks area, please keep an eye out. Picture below is of a very similar one nicked from Ebay:

Any info I'm on zero seven 88O 9IOO24.

Cheers, Ceri.

I'll keep my eyes open this end... one thing though.... if it's gone missing, ....

How do they know the point of entry?

Thanks Albert.

Yeah, they got in through the kitchen door whilst my friends were upstairs. I know it's a long shot; it's not a very distinctive car, but you never know.

Sad news for the family, but reminds me of that now sadly very dated line from Clockwise:

"But there's millions of blue 1100s..."

Thanks for your replies guys. The car's been found a few streets away, blocking someone's drive. The scrotes have nicked the child seat and locked it. Annoyingly, they don't have a spare key and the police won't recover it because it's "too icy".

They wont recover it??? I allways thought the police were useless......well now i KNOW!! They wont help nobody......unless your a criminall of course.

That's what I thought, but to be fair, it is a very hilly area and I guess there's loads of snow around.

They're going to go and take a wheel off tonight so it can't be driven away and just hope it doesn't get trashed before they can get it towed home tomorrow.

Walkley area is appalling for car safety, I'm glad I don't live that way any more. Mind you, it's appalling for house safety too, we had two break-ins and one of those was while we were upstairs in the house at the time. Appalling. I am pleased to hear they have at least got their car back and can hopefully not be knocked too hard by this event.

Shame they can't get in it. Sleeping under a blanket on the back seat would scare the living FUCK out of the thief. Especially with a rope across the neck, pulled tight, whilst using a mobile with the other hand..... Then drive them to a VERY desolate spot, remove their shoes and trousers, and drive off. Bastards.

Give the local dealer a shout, they can cut a key to the chassis number and reprogram it to stop it being started with the old key.

sorry to hear this but glad they got it back. Have to say its a good thing the police didnt recover it cos it would be more expense.

I'm glad the car turned up,but what low life scum to do such a thing;invade someones house, then take the car,and kids seat

If it was mine,I'd want to have the locks changed to be sure the car didn't go missing again, but thats not exactly going to be cheap.Let's hope the keys were thrown somewhere and get found, and the little scrotes still don't have them

Well, the car's been to the dealer to have all the locks changed - as you say, not cheap, but worth it for the peace of mind, perhaps.

Lucky for them to not have to go through their insurance really, as being new drivers with no no-claims they were already paying through the nose.

Cheers, folks; be careful out there... And don't have nightmares!
