Couldn't find the stupid questions thread, so has anyone actually tried these?

Regal Racers?

I am lead to believe that they are South African

They look very pretty, they are VERY cheap, but they are very nearly too slick.

A set on the Scirocco will probably transform its handling, but for the best?

Anyone tried them, driven through a really cool hedge, backwards in them etc.

Thanks,

I was expecting some fag sponsorship....

All new tyres now have a safety rating label on them,so you can now see just how good or bad they are ( supposedly )

XM #2 came with Regals on the front. It went straight on at the first damp roundabout. My intention, and instruction via the steering wheel, was to turn right. Fortunately, the new direction led straight to the tyre place, where two Michelins were fitted forthwith.

Avoid.

I only use Toyo proxes on my Scirocco (T1-R/S) I've tried all sorts and Toyos have been the best. The only tyre that came close for grip was Goodyear Eagle F1, which are quite pricey but last better than the Toyo. However I can't see either in your size ...

Personally I'd go for either the Uniroyal rainexpert or Falken's
