Mk1 Ibiza? Highly recommended as frugal, depreciation free & quite quick (the base 1500 anyways') .

Love mine -just wish I could find a use for it.....

That's what they've been doing- hammering a smaller ODDY over the old one.

how difficult is it to sell a whole pile of free stuff in an auction? Surely you just advertise it, then start selling and then collect the money!

haha Tayne, google translate is epic!

The thing is, due to high taxes, used cars in Greece are a bit salty and I'm guessing most the ones there would have been valued 4-5 years ago, when they were newer/in better condition and used prices were higher in the pre-crisis days. So you've got a K11 Micra that's been valued at €2.000, is currently worth €600, but could still make sense to sell for €250 in scrap in order to save on storage fees, paperwork and whatnot. Good luck with finding a civil servant willing to write down the value from 2 grand to €250!

Is that not a metaphor for the entire country?
