Battery worth weighing in?

Just got in from rescuing the girlfriend after her KA battery died (after 9 years which is good going). Is the scrap metal dealer likely to give me a few quid for it, or would I be as well taking it to the tip? It's only a 063 so not a heavyweight...

I remember my father weighing them in back in the 70's - in fact it was the norm then to weigh anything in, old twin tub washers, batteries, mangles and so on.
