Starting college next month

So as you may or may not know I quit my job as a manager at McDonalds because it was shit and I hated it. 4 and a half years too many! And a big comedown from IBM. Any how after a spell of not employedness I was offered a job with a mate at his valeting business. So all is well. But what I've been raving on about for years, almost as much as Jimps, Polonez and Talbot Tagoras is wanting to learn to paint cars. So I enrolled at Scunthorpe College. And that is what I'm doing. F*ck you McDonalds!

Good on ya! It might be a long road which has brought you to this point, but now you know it's where you want to be, it'll be upwards and onwards from here.

For what it's worth; I sometimes work for a company which delivers to a bunch of national fast food and restaurant chains. The number of times 'I wish I wasn't here' comes up in chatter is eye-opening.

I done a 2 year bodywork course on a remit scheme back in 1997-98 at my local college, I loved it and only left after my employer didn't want me to go anymore as due to work getting too busy, You'll love it and it's a good way of meeting new friends too.

Go for it. A good painter is worth his weight in gold.

Great stuff. Packing in your job and doing something else is great fun! Painting cars is a very useful skill. As said, you will be in demand!

As long as there are cars there'll be people crashing them into each other. It's a great skill to have.

Excellent news, I hope you find the course enjoyable and get to be a great painter at the end of it. Having a shite-friendly painter can only be a good thing.
