Cars on the Green at Harpenden Informal?

I was hoping to go to the cars on the green event in Harpenden on the 30th of July.http://www.classicsonthecommon.comThis was a great event because you could go along in the evening and just go in if you you had an older car. It was very informal and friendly.But I discovered today that for the 1st time ever this has been made an advanced ticket only event because the 'authorities' require this.I know this may sound strange but it is not the price of £5.00 that bothers me at all, it is giving my address and details again. I just value my privacy above showing my car at this event. But it is a terrible shame because I was looking forward to this.So, be warned if you were expecting this to be as last year because the website says that they are not allowing any cars in without an advanced ticket now. Its been advance ticket only for I think 3 or 4 years now. Certainly was last year as they wouldn't let me in 'til my wife arrived with the ticket I'd left at home

Yes your right, I had not relealised that this has been a ticket event for a few years.The reason I thought this had changed this year was that I must have got let in by accident last year. You see I had genuinely no idea this was ticket only and just joined a queue and was let in....I did not give it another thought. This year I checked the website and was suprised by what seemed like a change. Oh well, now I know and have got used to the idea I guess I will just use my work address as a contact. After all, there was a great bunch of cars about.
