Rover P6 clock auction for Royal Bolton HDU FINAL TOTAL

Sorry for the off-topic-ness, but I thought this would be a good place to put this. As many of you may know, I recently lost my sister to lung cancer. Her last hours in hospital were spent in the High Dependency Unit at the Royal Bolton. We cannot praise the staff on that unit enough, so to give something back, so to speak, we organised an auction on Facebook, to raise some funds. This was one of the lots, which was made by me. It was won by Billy Cavcraft of this fine parish, who has paid me in full and requested that I sell it again to raise more funds for the unit. So here it is.

In the style of the original fundraiser, I'm going to put it out to auction with a £7.50 starting bid. If you fancy it, make a comment with your bid. I'll let this run until midnight Sunday, then whoever has the highest bid has won!

ALSO, in the spirit of extra donations, I will donate another of these fine* clocks to the second high bidder, so two will be sold to raise funds.

I'll cover postage, naturally. Thanks for having a look, let's have a bid or two!

Good work Chris.

We're bidding here, right? I'll kick things off at a tenner then.

Cheers, Joe. Keep the bids coming, shiters, if they get high enough, I might even throw a third clock in!!

Today, we finally plucked up the courage to go back to the ward and donate the money we raised through this and other auctions. Altogether we managed to raise £345 for the ward, which pleased us and the staff, so I'd like to say thank you to all those who made bids for these clocks. It really did mean a lot, and is VERY much appreciated both by our family and by the staff on the High Dependency Unit.

Crikey. I somehow missed this! The P6 Clock now takes pride of place (well, sits on a pile of other stuff) in my garage after I won it at Shitefest. Great to know the sale of it benefited a good cause. Thanks for updating the thread.
