Not much in the way of lights at the back, just what looks like indicators and reflectors. Where are the sidelights and brake lights?

The light unit is actually combined light/brake IIRC, which also flashes as an indicator - like US cars for a time but also applied to Morris Minors and MGAs for a time. A lot of people fit separate indicators these days, for obvious reasons!

Going by the orange badges that's a 401, a later one, looks like the semaphores in the pillars have been filled in, and the front fogs sensibly converted to indicators. Those funny white tail lamps have dual lamps, stop / tail bulb with a red lens over it, and reverse. They iz well bling like dem Lexarse lamps innit.

10/10 for thread title, made I laugh did that.

I know 'modding' ain't really the thing on here but I'd like to see a UK lead sled version of that there Bristol.

I love Bristols too.

Great to see it out and about doing a bit of shopping or whatever.

Des is right. It's a 1952 Bristol 401. I know this because I have April's edition of Octane in front of me what I bought down the market the other day for a quid. It has a big feature on all the Bristol models evah; 21 models since 1947.

A bloke not far from here has a couple of Bristols and uses them all the time. One tows a trailer a lot, I assume he's some sort of builder, and they're all really tidy.

Wonderful looking things.
