This will be the first year I have attended and, despite a potential washout being forecast, I'm looking forward to it. The Allegro will be there complete with an ever increasing list of faults and a full 1 days MOT.

Which other shitests will be attending?

Rather too far away now, but a good event. My advice is get there early. The queues can be horrific. Makes sense not to try and escape too early too. Takes a good day to get around it all though!

Yep! I'll be tagging along with Gary in the Simca (or possibly the Maestro), not sure if we're actually going to be 'exhibiting' though so it'll probably just be in the punters car park.

I think Seth is gonna be there too, presumably in the Herald as the Hillman is still in lots of bits.

I really wanted to go to this in the Cortina but I've been talked into going to the "Alive and V-Dubbin" show at Jimmy's Farm here in Ipswich for the weekend, Great, a field full of VW's it is then. :(

It's the price that puts me off every year, despite being my closest show. £14 is too steep for me I'm afraid.

I should have pre-entered as a contestant, for £5, which used to be free.

Trigger you berk, you've dropped a bollock with that decision surely!

Thanks for the advice Dollywobbler, I'll be leaving extra early then. Barrett, Gary, Seth or anyone else, if you see my bright orange wobfest feel free to come say Hi.

I know, The wife's aunt & uncle are taking their children there camping and kept going on and on at us to go camping with them plus some of our friends organise it and asked us to go so we had to give in to peer pressure.

I got a call on Monday to say that the tickets etc would be posted out today, hopefully they'll arrive in time!!

I've applied for the Simca to be in the one make parking thing so we should be 'exhibiting' if all goes to plan.

I went every year from 1993 til about 2002, I've only been to a couple since then but it is usually good, if a bit expensive (if it's not raining too much).

If the weather continues like this, there's a fair chance to Council ,owners of the site, wont permit vehicles on their lawn.

It was very wet at last years show as well, The field which the punters park in was like a bog, i lost the tow bar cover of the Mondeo in the entrance of a gateway on the way out as it was so boggy, all the cars started sinking in the mud, It was a nightmare.

The Victory Wheelers show, down in Portsmouth (same day) has just been cancelled- on the advice of Health & Safety.

Oh dear

I'll probably be going in the Maestro now, as the Simca's a bit unwell.

Sorry to hear that -anything serious?

I'm collecting a complete, dismantled, rusty half built/abandoned (probably scrap) 1100 in a few weeks -if there is anything comparable that you need -shout.

Something gear selection/clutch related, won't go into first or reverse without crunching horribly.
