Anyone want a Renner 25?

After a few days and 500 miles or so wafting about in the R25 I have decided it's got to go. I want an automatic for barge duties (pref with air con) and have a hankering for an XM. I can't justify an XM whilst I have this.

Ok, so it was a bit of an ebay accident (see ebay tat thread) bought for £300 with no tax, link it's now taxed until end of Oct and has MOT until July 2013

Shiter price £400 - I am open for random trades/swaps/deals

Bodywork - pretty good, apart from dent in nsf door. A few giffer touch-ups here and there, but no visible rust and can of paint used by said giffer included.

Engine - starts on the button and runs great. Whilst under the car at the weekend I did see some oil on the bottom of the engine, so there may be a leak somewhere - BIL suggested "o-ring" on dizzy as apparently they often leak. that said oil level doesn't appear to have moved over the last 500 miles. After replacing a small split coolant pipe the engine temp has been spot on in the heat and traffic.

Clutch - pedal high but doesn't slip.

Steering - good, light, occasional noise/squeak on lock.

Faults/quirks:

Speedo doesn't work. Needle occasionally moves but has no relation to forward movement. I've done 500 miles or so in the car and the trip has clocked up 100 miles.

Fuel gauge sometimes works

Temp gauge occasionally wavers a bit, but dipping the clutch seems to wake it up.

Good bits:

It's a R25 & looks great from the drivers side

Seats are very comfy and the ride is very smooth.

Radio and controls by the steering wheel work.

It's quite large, good size boot and space in the back for full sized people.

2.0 carb engine in a large engine bay. Simple engine with loads of space to get at things.

It's not the quickest of things, but it's not painfully slow and handles very nicely.

Remote central locking works off the key- this is the original factory remote.

Oil changed last week by previous owner.

Current Location Lincs - 10 mies south of Lincoln

Looks nice, GLWS etc, but WOW - We need to see some more of that Mitsi Galant in the background there!

Cheers barrett, the Galant Sapporo is my barge of choice. I was going to take it to Chumley the other week, but slightly cooked the engine a few days before

It's currently awaiting an engine rebuild and then a respray. I've a thread on the blue forum about it RR link ... It is another one of my acquisitions bought courtesy of the AS ebay tat thread ;)
