First show of the season, although as per the title it's not a classic or retro show, so much of this may not be of interest to people here. Nonetheless, there were some absoulte crackers amongst the endless Imprezas

Nope, they're not here. The market for all that Jap import stuff is gone - any plasterer/carpenter/bricklayer who would've aspired to owning an Impreza or AE86 is in Australia or Canada now.

 

P.S. I want a Mk1 MR2.

Great pics, got to say I'm a big fan of kei cars. I do love that AZ-1, the last time I spoke to the owner of it it was running about 130bhp from the 660cc engine.

Kei cars are truly excellent. Must own one.

 

As for the Forester, my neighbour's just got one. XT so 260bhp. It's lunatic quick! But just looks like a boggo dog-hauler bar the bonnet scoop. I like that.

From what I've been told, the n/a versions seem to have all the thirst of the turbos, without the performance. They do seem to hold their value quite well, which translates as being outside my current price range

How did you find the show Negative Creep?

 

I've just had a quick look on a kei forum I frequent and apparently there were horrendous queues going in, some people (with tickets) were turned away and pre-booked track time was cancelled. It doesn't sound particularly well organised.

We made sure to get there early, hence didn't have to queue. Didn't hear anything about people not being able to get in, but there were long queues trying to get out (apparently the police set up a noise checker). I think the track time was more to do with people stacking it and thus the circuit having to be closed for recovery, and that they wanted the drift cars out since they were the main attraction
