I've just spend the last 30 minutes watching this video, It's a few of the guys from buysellcortina trying to save a 1974 Cortina 1600 XL that's been in a lock up since 1993, Really enjoyable but man can those cars rust!

It almost seems a shame to remove it from its final resting place ! Still,at least there will be some good parts to help keep other surviving ones going

I've bailed out of BSC after it became the banger racers friend. Suddenly thread after thread about building cortinas for racing. Not my bag, so I've called it quits.

Im more for preserving cars than destroying them;I know some get fun out of driving a impractical to restore car,and having some last fun out of it,but thats not really my idea of treating cars. Some really good cars get killed off for a few minutes fun,and then they are ruined forever. If I had found that Cortina, its obviously not economical to repair, but I would have either used it for spares,or maybe left it to rest as it was
