The listing says:

Sunny character house,

3 Heat pumps

home theatre room with plasma tv

wired for intra/internet

It does have a nice view, and seems to be sited to catch every 80mph wind blowing directly from the Antarctic.

does it move and creak and groan in the above winds? Probably.

Can the 3 heat pumps keep up with the cold? Probably not!!

And best of all what should be kept in the garage?

You should get a whole swarm of Goggomobils.

You could easily find places to drown your untrustworthy 1950s wife who saw too much... or picnics, picnics would be good too.

Just imagine, getting enough friends together to trundle out of the garage en masse in every conceivable shape size and condition of Goggomobil every time you have to go to work or the shops or to buy more cats. It would be epic.

It is actually room by room student accommodation and the notes say " exterior to be fully refurbished "

And a Goggo would never get up the hills in Dunedin, My Mothers Corolla auto failed!

Google maps--- brown street dunedin otago new zealand--- for a better look at the area . It is on the cannongate corner

1938 Packard (from The Ladykillers, a magnificent - albeit unlikely - car movie) :D

Believe it or not Tayne..the architectural style has a loose description as Goth..its the 1900 -30s period style..Wanganui has a tonne of it..whilst Wellington and Auckland keep demolishing it!Dunedin as Stuno mentioned is freezing..but u are close to Central Otago which is classic car heaven..also u have to take into consideration the rioting-sofa burning students..and the permanent reminder u might be Edinburgh..its the same city plan..except Edinburgh doesnt have the hills...

Not to the extent u can register one of the steepest streets in the world...tho u are right..ive just never forgiven Dunedin for always refering to Robert Burns as Robbie..its Rabbie ya daft sassenachs!

Tayne, that house needs a LOT of work! I thought it was wooden at first but it may be solid brick or concrete construction. Done up it would be a great home.

I would love to see what is left of the original interior, the beautiful paint job may be over the very wrinkly original wallpapers which had a scrim (thin sacking ) backing whick droops and wrinkles.

And a Packard in the garage..priceless
