What's this car?

... as discovered in the middle of nowhere by my mate on safari in Namibia. Got a few ideas but thought I'd chuck it up on here and see what you think...

Well the thing on the grille looks like the nose of a Studebaker Commander but it's in the wrong place for one of those i.e. it's on the grille not bonnet. Originally thought Borgward Isabella but no, their emblem is diamond shaped whereas this is circular. But it really does look German to me....

^^ that's godda be it. What model is that Ford, is it a Crestliner then or something smaller?

It doesn't look too different from this, either.This has round indicators as opposed to elliptical ones, can't see the exact shape of the holes in the pic.

I don't think it's a Peugeot, the rear panel looks much like the Ford Crestliner, as Shaun has said.

Definitely. It'll be a Ford Custom, circa 1950. The Crestline was the top of the range and came with two-tone paint, extra chrome and all the bits.
