The Avenger has fantasticly poor quality interior, but superbly over engineered boot hinges. Really.

I saw at least three of those Sebrings today, on the same stretch of the A303. Dealer demonstrators no doubt. They look a bit like a previous-generation C-Class from dead-frontal, at a distance.Bloody awful things though, right up there with the Saabillac BLS for "most foolish thing you can get with your company lease allowance". I'd rather have a Chevrolet Epica. People with half a brain could get a Hyundai Sonata (which I reckon is actually styled very nicely), FFS.

I rate the Sonata too, reckon it looks pretty handsome compared to its rivals which seem to be trying to outdo each others ugliness.Is the Epica the one you can get with a transverse straight-6? GR8 4 PRETENDIN U R IN A WOLSELEY 2200 etc

No, M-B sold Chrysler last year to venture capitalists. I think the Sebring is just an update of the old Stratus, which goes back to 1993 or so. GR8 4 ROCK-HARD PLASTIC INTERIOR TRIM, etc.

True, but in all fairness when they sell these things in the USA they cost about tuppence by comparison to the "shaft-you-up-the-arse" UK/EU prices.. They cost less than a shitey UK/EU spec Daewoo/Proton (insert shite marque of choice) at the end of the day no?

I was running around in the US spec Sonata in 2006/07 with the 3.4L V6 engine - and boy did it move!They still have a way to go with interior quality to match the Japanese but they are getting there very quickly...literally and metaphorically
