Just Got This Rover 416, Anyone Fancy I?

I got this little monkey yesterday, I wondered what the Honda engines were like in these and unsurprisingly they're nice. This one is a low mileage (60k) with a big pile of unread history, first owner deceased, second owner enthusiast, then me! Tax April, MOT October. Lopsided front bumper but really does drive nicely, £375 anyone? Prefer swaps of course!

HERESY!

Believe it or not, HGF and oil consumption.

Nice machine. You cannot beat a Rover, even one with a Japanese engine. Good luck with it.

Yum, looks tasty! Why do all these lovely cars have to come up when I'm barrasic? You watch, when I have money, I wont find anything as cheap :|

I thought you weren't doing swaps? Or do you just want cars that you haven't owned before?

Are there any he hasn't owned before?!! :D

Mr Monium, the Nissan would just put me back in the same place, a practical, reliable car I don't need! Swaps ideally a bike or summat odd!

I can't remember when I last saw one that shape...looks sweet as a nut. I think Skizzer should buy it for his doris

Bugger me Vek, that looks really tidy - the Engine bay looks GR9 to work in - having just spent several days working on the Mrs's Subaru I have no knuckles left!

That is going to be a right little winner in the budget transport department. Should not hang around long at that price :)

I believe those Honda engines are non interference too (could be wrong) but to be honest Scoots I don't think it needs any work for a while

Gsi Spec as well - what are these Honda Concertos like on the road?

It actually isn't that bad, nippy enough, nice engine sound, comfy, all good really...okay, not that exciting but does the job!

I had a 216Gti back in the 90's and I guess this is the same engine (I didn't have the TC version) Can confirm the nice engine note.

It was great to drive apart from the very heavy non-PAS.

Hmmm, I spotted this car on the Rover800 forum just now, it was owned by a young lad from Swindon, Wiltshire. Didnt realise he owned it, he's got the blue Rover 820i I think either you Wuvvum or someone from this forum did.

Who on Earth is Skizzer?

Erm, that would be me then

Not sure Mrs Skizzer would go for it, I fear. I'm still trying to persuade her to learn to drive (now that we live miles from anywhere). If I ever win that argument it'll probably lead to some sort of Baadermatic so she doesn't have to worry about gears

Good luck with it though, looks like a very tidy one.

oh go on then!

I'm SO weak willed but have a horn for Rovers at the moment and like what I have read about the R8 -
