looks like an epic save that does, great work my Grandad had two maxis back in the 70s PTU 167L and RWM 658T apparently the gear linkage went on the first one and he panicked and bought the second one best car he ever owned he said. (one was limeflower too )

Yeah, I spotted that but its a bit too far away for me to scavenge parts from. I do have first dibs on a Maxi thats being broken up and scrapped locally soi 'm hopeful I can bag a load of nice spares from it!

That's sad. There's also that gorgeous brown Maxi still for sale in Devon on Retro-Rides. I'm amazed it hasn't been snapped up yet. The BL-shades union jack on the roof is excellent.

The one in Welling (was it) was just up the road from me at the time and I never knew about it. Looks like it was an HL or HLS as well!

Wow what a thread resurrection! I got very excited that there was the possibility of a 70s car that was sub £500 with MOT. Then realised it was over 5 years ago.
