But in defence of my earlier comment, that Renault soft-road thing is hideous AND unreliable, and probably still costs un bras et une jambe if you're daft enough to buy one. So IMO it's currently wedged deep within the u-bend of shit territory

Well, I know zip about the science bit, but isn't the ECU is just programmed to go into limp when the AdBlue tank is dry to stop folk running without any AdBlue. The engine should run fine, shirley, just less 'environmentally friendly' like.
