  1. Indeed! That'd be "Timex" as it's now known... Pictured below at last years X Rally... Yes, please do! Infact, I think I'll pop this on the AXOC website too as that might drum up some interest... All Citroens are very welcome. In fact, I'll be in a C4 too...! (As well as hopefully something else Citroen shaped, all being well...) As one of the organisers of the X Rally, of course everyone is welcome be it in an X model or not! This Rally was set up mainly due to the CX, XM and Xantia owners wanting another show earlier in the year (their show is in September each year) and the BX'ers not having a show of their own. Thus, the X Rally was born! ALL Citroen's are welcome and we'll even let you in if you're not in a Citroen (it happens!). I know there'll be a Vel Satis there, for example... It's the first proper CCC Event of the year which will help numbers attending...

  3. Howdy folks - thought I'd post this up on here as I'm sure there's plenty of Citroen fanciers on here... 2 weeks today is the X Rally of the CCC, being held at Burghley House, Stamford. Following on from last years inaugural X Rally that was a brilliant success, we will of course be holding it again this year. The date, as you can see on the above information poster, is the 7th April 2013 and this once again combines with Burghley's Fine Food Market that is a well represented event that they hold each year. If you attended last year you will know that we got a brilliant turnout of 80+ Citroëns which for a first was excellent. There were 26 BXs, 19 Xantias, 13 XMs and 9 CXs there, and 19 "others". Autoshite's very own Mr Dollywobbler picked up the Shed of the Show prize with his then BX! So, looking past the current wintry conditions, this is two weeks today! I'll have to get Alan to have a word with his friend's in high places again... If the weather was so bad that the grassed area was unsuitable then I am currently in talks with Burghley regarding an area of hardstanding right outside the house... Updates to follow as and when... Few more details for you: Arrival from 9:30am please! Cost will be £5 parking for each car. Prize-giving for awards will be at 3:00pm (or before depending on weather etc). 2 for 1 entry to House & Gardens on production of CCC Membership card. If you're wondering what it's all about, have a gander at some pics from last year here - http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 23#p313523 Thanks! Any questions, just ask!

  5. Thanks, and here's some from the Sunday: En route to Little Horwood from the hotel on the Sunday Morning we had an impromptu convoy with Sandre/Caffiend with her BX TZD Turbo through all most of Milton Keynes finest roundabouts... Also spotted James in his Prestige coming the opposite way so had to take a quick snap... The field was filling up nicely, and here's a view from the back of the field... Jason's V6 looking very smart indeed, and Darren's XM V6 in the background. Both went to go onto win 1st Prizes for Xantia and XM... My C4 looking deceptively clean. Eagle eyed people will spot the XM Bodykit stashed in it... Was great to see this CX again as it used to be one of ours - a DTR Turbo 2... ...and this GTi Turbo 2 as well: This particular CX won Best CX this year - the owner has owned it from new! Lightly modified XM... Lovely CX Safari... This CX 25 Pallas IE was a lovely car: A trio of Visa GTi's!! BXs were out in force: As were the XMs and owners: This S1 XM was tasty... Great Xantia Line-up, with most being V6s and some Activa's! Jason's V6 again: Dean's Activa: A sea of Citroens: A very early CX 2200 Diesel!! CX Line-up: XM 2.5TDness: Some more CXs: Prize-giving and Raffle: Ron's Monkey got a new home... Bon Voyage... James' Prestige: A nice pairing... Want... Jon's DS3R: Chris's V6: A Family Re-union: Roger's V6 and Roger's Sister's V6. James leaving: Action:
  6. Managed to sort a few pictures out - here's some of the Saturday. The start of the glorious weather, and cars slowly filtering in. Good to see Mr Emblem's GTi Turbo again that he's had for a very long time - bought from Roger "back in the day" and still wears the CX Centre Plates. Aftermarket Wheels are due to the TRX Tyres cost, although original T Slots are in the garage... Some more XMs... A different view-point from the back of the field, note Andy filling up his Xantia! This ZX Volcane 3 Door was a cracking car to see - didn't manage to chat with the owners I don't think but a lovely lovely car... Mr Seabrook's Green Tiger BX stands out a bit in the line-up... The starts of the formation of the convoy drive to Bletchley Park. We had 39 cars start off, and 35 made it... Never saw the other four... And some more at the back including Chris' V6 and Dean's Activa: Convoy (I agree with Andy's comments that we should have had the theme song playing...): A quarter of the line-up at Bletchley Park: Another quarter: Matthew's XM V6: Will's XM 2.1 SD with others behind and the mansion: Steve's C6 looking particularly nice: Another part of the line-up: Jim's Activa, Dom's Safari, Will's XM 2.1 SD and Penny's XM: Jim's Activa: Back on-site, and Steve and Ron's C6s: Matthew taking Chris' V6 for a spin: Maurice's and Penny's near identical XMs: French registered CX 20: Dean's and Jim's Activae: One corner of the camping area: A few Gs: Nice sunset above the C6s: Couldn't resist a few night shots again this year, this one was at 21:10 Saturday Night: Sunday pictures will follow once they've been sorted out...
  7. Yep, although it hasn't been out and about for a couple of years. Power-wise not sure exactly, however I'm very lucky to have been passenger in it once. No words to describe it really, it's utterly unbelievable... Put it this way, a friend has a 420BHP Impreza, and doesn't come close to CGAT...

  9. Sorry to be really anoraky, but this is a very rare car indeed, as it is a 2500c GTi, but it is non-turbo and has manual gearbox. It was intended originally for the Australian Market and so has Air Conditioning in the rear too. A lovely car and a credit to it's owner, Clive, the RWD Columnist for The Citroenian. One day left - tomorrow! I can only imagine what the attendance will be like... http://icccr2012.org.uk/

  13. Many thanks. Indeed, the whole show really started to fill up today... This is the last registered C6 that was there yesterday BTW: ICCCR 2012 - Citroen C6 3.0 V6 HDi by chevronsaver@ICCCR2012, on Flickr Up there with Journalists from AutoCar Magazine...

  15. The ICCCR is definitely worth a visit - you'll not see anything like it again in the UK for many years to come... I only went for the first two days, Thursday and Friday, however the attendance yesterday was absolutely amazing. Speaking to people that are there today, it's even bigger. There's more than 70 CXs there, 40 C6s, Hundreds of Tractions, DSs, 2CVs etc... I've some pics here of Thursday and Friday - the attendance is even bigger now - http://www.flickr.com/photos/icccr2012/

  17. If I'm going to be an anorak here, as it's a C Plate car it was orginally a 105ch version that they all were at the start of GTi production. Those N/S doors are the originals because you can see the upper and lower silver stripe on them - this is what the 105ch's had. The O/S doors sport 115ch logos and side stripes from when they were boasting about their increase to 115ch! Certainly sounds like another car...any other info?
  18. Indeed... http://www.citroenet.org.uk/phototheque ... rch01.html http://visaforum.freeforums.org/post7902.html#p7902
  19. Just the one... http://visaforum.freeforums.org/post9415.html#p9415
  20. It certainly is a shame that there's so few of them left. Unfortunately the vast majority of GTi's that are left are in long term storage, albeit in enthusiastic owners hand's. We hope that 2012 is the GTi year - there's certainly possibilities of a few of them being brought back onto the road...
  21. Nope, although I did see it a couple of weekends ago when I saw the owner! As is the usual with such a small amount of cars remaining, owners do know pretty much every other one about! CIT GT is a lovely car and my red GTi is currently on route to looking like that - I got it back from the paintshop after a full respray last week. Sorry to have derailed your Oltcit thread Chris...
  22. Two, apparently - stored in a church. We've only seen pictures of one of them though, and it's in the background... Not me, but a beautiful very well known GTi in Visa Circles and owned by the Visa Columnist for the Citroen Car Club's Magazine, The Citroenian... There's only 17 of these rare beasts left - see them here - http://visaforum.freeforums.org/post8096.html#p8096 It's been done, however unfortunately not in the UK...
  23. Nice write-up Chris - I really look forward to seeing it at shows this coming year. It was in some state when I got it - any other car, and off to the weighbridge it would've gone... I'm going to leave this picture here, of my favourite part of that car - the dash. As Chris has mentioned I've 'moved on' to a couple of Visa GTi's now... Cheers, Franklin.
  24. Yep, called the "Visa II Special". I own one, and we (on the Visa Forum) know of 9 to survive - you can see them here.
  25. corblimey I've just jizzed all over my keyboard again - how much do I lust over THAT baby - could not wait to park it next to the BX - dented wing and all!!! the poor man's Ami indeed and check out the INTERIER!!! Oh yes, you should buy that - can't beat a Visa! In fact, it's a dead ringer for my 14TRS...low miles...same colour and same interior!
