Shame about the 'Cavette school of photography' shots though, this thing deserves a proper HI-RES HD MEGABOLLOCKS PROFESSIONAL PHOTOSHOOT to do it justice. You own the coolest car in the universe so it seems rather churlish to criticise your photography skills, but how hard is it to get the whole thing in shot man? I guess I'm just jealous.

Oh, all right then, some photos taken early this morning on my way to church. I normally walk, but I took the Lada, in order to get some pictures. These were taken on Hadley Common, near where I Live. I hope Barrett's suitably impressed!.... (Sorry that some are a little blurred!)

DONE!!! I know that restaurant & there are often seriously posh cars outside there; Range Rovers, BMWs, Porsches etc., it's be worth a parking ticket to leave the Lada outside & upset the diners!

Ah what a wonderful beast ! Wild Mink (Brown) is a lovely colour when shiny. My Lada 1200 is the same age and will hopefully be on the road in the spring!. I am green with envy over your 1500 though..... lucky man! Look after it.

Andrew, bring it over. I will autoclay it and polish it properly. THEN it will be a very shiny car.

You know it makes sense.

My Lada's going to appear in a film! I was approached by the producer of a film currently being filmed in Uxbridge & Pinewood, who wanted a Lada for some street scenes. The film is called "The Seasoning House" and is set during the 1990's Bosnian civil war. There's a thread to the plot on the web if you want to know more, but what matters to me is that my Lada will be a star! I took the car to work at Heathrow early this morning & delivered it to the film production company at RAF Uxbridge this afternoon. The crew were really friendly and I'm happy they'll look after it O.K. What's more, they've invited SHMBO & me to the west end preview!

If I receive any film stills of the car I'll post them here! Can't wait!

While on the subject, if any Autoshiters have bought "The Debt" on DVD you might spot a certain cream Wartburg Knight at the beginning, when you're asked to choose your language. It also pops up in the film proper a number of times.....

TOP MOATAH, fully deserves to be immortalised on film.

that Lada is the absolute mutts, and i love the russian guages. I've got some old guages from a T55 tank that i've been hanginf onto since 1991 in order to use in a hot rod, love the quirkyness of them!
