It has MOT until Feb 2012

It has Tax till end of August.

143K miles.

It is a 1982 model and has no APC fitted. Electric front windows and manual sunroof. Interior is blue velour.

Since I have had it I have fitted

Stainless brake hoses

New green stuff Pads

New fuel pump

New wheels with brand new tyres (replaced metric ones) (paid over £300 for these and have only 68 miles on it)

New Halfords battery

New Ignition Amplifier

New Spark plugs

New HT Leads

New Ignition Coil

New fuel pump bellows

Bad bits

Wont start. This is after me fitting new fuel pump and new bellows.

Rear wheel bearing is noisy (new one comes with it)

Bodywork will need sorting - Rust on rear hatch and also hole in boot floor.

It was running and had an issue when it cut out on boost. I was trying to chase the issue but since buying it I have moved house and I don't really have the space to work on it.

Car is in Ashford Middx.

Make me a decent offer and it is yours. If you want alloys and tyres then will need to be >£300. Without wheelsI am pretty flexible.

Probably speaking out of turn but have you tried changing the Rotor Arm???

Went through a similar process when my old C900 "stopped". Changed a few things and then realised it just needed a new one of those.

Mildly annoyed at the time due to the work I had done, but just glad it was working.

Cheers

Cutting out on boost could be a pressure switch behind the glovebox playing up, should only cut fuel if boost goes crazy, or sometimes just for the hell of it.

Had new rotor arm and distributor cap! I have fully serviced it. I am sure it is something to do with fuel lines. It sat in a field for 4 years so I think that has something to do with it.

It wasnt boost cut out.It is a fuelling problem. The whole car just wont start at all now so I am not going to chuck any more time or money at it.

Last month as in out of date or 2012?

I might have totally dreamt this, but, have you got the airfilter in and the top on? I seem to recall the early 900 T needs this on and secured for it to start, something to do with vacum or something....

Have you checked the thermo time switch? A common cause of non-starting on K-Jetronic-equipped cars, apparently.

I would've thought the fuel pump relay was the first port of call, especially as it was dying on fuelling the first place. Where are the relays kept?

Is it injection, and is there an ECU?

Turbo's rely on the MAP sensor from the inlet vacuum for fuelling as well.

I have to say, that looks absolutley freakin excellent for £300, I would love it.
