Lovely. A field full of single figure mpg weapons of wanton destruction can't be a bad thing.

This was my first time at this event but my Dad goes every year and as he is not able to drive now I took him along. The Show is well supported by the contentals and there is a fair bit of dressing up and role playing going on. We went on Thursday so not crowded at all but probably not all the vehicles were there yet.

great thread!

If I remember my Commando Comics the tank is a Panzer Mk V - AKA Panther - Jerry's knock off T34 - superb in every way at dealing death but not as good as the T34 as a tank as, typically for Germans, they over engineered it which was an issue when their dealer network started to have problems in 1945. Whereas the T34 in true Eastern Blok style could be fixed with a hammer and run on vodka filtered as piss....

anyway a Panther would be G9 4 DEALIN WITH POLISH NEYBORS FROM HELL

really - my wife has NOTHING to complain about - imgine the mad bastard who lugs a 60 year old 30 ton tank around on a transport lorry! Christ, she's lucky Im a shitter and not into shit like this!

Excellent (and bugger). My sister-in-laws dad had a camping permit and was there all in week in a motorhome. I could have gone, had some beers, dressed up as the leader of the SS and driven home the next morning. Bugger. Some cracking pics, I love the Haflingers, in my mind that what milkfloats would resemble under marshall law.

This one is here is the Panther, launched at the 1943 Kursk motor show
