Tendering Technology College Show Pics

Was in Clacton this weekend and saw this advertised in the local paper so decided to pop over. Wasn't much on the car front, the majority of it being the same old stuff that does all the other shows in the vicinity year after year but there were a few select bits of QUALITAT on display.

Upon entering this show I was confronted with some American tractor unit with this Rambler sedan parked next to it which was 11,738 times more interesting. An ex Armed Forces car which has been recently been recommissioned after being in storage since 1965!!!!

I'll have one of these over any old boring Tri-Chevy, a proper bit of Yank shite. Ramblers were sold new in the UK for a bit, adverts for them can usually be found in copies of Motor magazine circa 1959 in amongst DIY Asbestos garages and Leopard print steering wheel covers.

Something a bit less exotic but still quite a bonkers looking thing, been seeing this for ages now but finally managed to get some half decent shots of it.

Nice to see one of these looking standard, in the hands of an elderly couple for a change.

A few nice bits there, Most of them I've seen before as you expect, This show wasn't very well advertised to be honest, I had forgotten all about it!

The Rambler is great. I love obscure yank stuff, even more so if it is RHD. That one was registered in Southampton/Portsmouth, there might be a naval connection :?:

Nice one Dan. I do like the look of that Pop, though I doubt I could resist ripping the ody off and replacing it with some hopelessly wobbly GRP shell....

How the hell did I not know about this? That's MY OLD SCHOOL! I live literally 500 yards away!

Glastonbury was good, though.
