Witton Castle show 29/05/11

Well, it'd been a while since I'd seen the 'rents, so arranged to meet them at a car show. Apart from anything else, I don't have a camera, so I figured it'd be handy to borrow theirs

or at least, the other side of that mostly Victorian castle/wine bar.

 

Some good spots (I thought), in order of when I managed to figure out how to get the bloody camera to work:

This morris PO van looked quite sweet. I missed the bedford lorry which had been next to it when we arrived unfortunately.

 

 

A couple of 635CSIs, both looking very flash indeed. I'd love to be able to afford to own one of these when something went wrong.

 

On occasions, this show was really spoiling us - is this one familiar on here?

 

A nice ford popular. This one prompted some stories from my father which didn't involve his BSA 650 having a car tyre on the back or covering peas in soy sauce at university - a real feat

A couple of 1300s. The MG one had some sales literature in advising of the awesome power which allowed it to reach 40MPH in six seconds - or close enough anyway!

 

And the 'best of the carpark' award has to go to this one here. San Storm, apparently.

I've just been sat here thinking "Witton Castle, that sounds familiar" whilst wearing a" Stormin the Castle" T shirt from the bike rally that I used to marshal at that also takes place there.
