Amsterdam spots - April

This is all I could manage to take on a recent "mini-cruise " with our lass, I was surprised just how many '60's, 70's & 80's cars appear to be in daily use something you tend not to see over here, I could have taken quite a few more if I had moved around the canal boat and coach but I was getting funny looks as it was!

Nice spots! I could do with finding a nicely patinated Merc estate, like the one 3rd from the end.

Surely importing from Holland couldn't be too hard? Clues anyone?

If I was driving, I would park as near the edge as possible and hope my passenger did not notice.

I was wondering about the technicalities of re-registering a Dutch motor here. Seeing as we had a discussion about the same, of French origin, recently; I thought maybe someone with knowledge of their system could fill in the info.

Seemingly quite a large amount of American toss over there, the International 'touristbus' is more usually seen in yellow livery and full of kids.

I'll take the Amazon, please.

One of the biggest clues I can give: bring a lot of money, those Mercs go for at least 3000 euro (well, I don't know if they 'go' but that's what most sellers ask).

Re the photos: nice to see parts of town I tend to avoid... canals & parking are a good reason to drive an old narrow car!

Even in a left hand drive car?

Knowing me, probably.

Good point.
