Guest Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/sho ... hp?t=52937 some more in pictures in there
Guest Leonard Hatred Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 It might surprise some, but 28dayslater is the only forum I've been banned from. I'd like to have a proper look at that place.
Guest Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 wouldnt suprise me 1 bit . there a clique up there own arse bunch on there for the best part
warren t claim Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I'm of the opinion that our leaders should utilise the vehicles in some sort of back to work scheme. If someone finds a job that's inaccessible via public transport then they can be provided with a car for a minimum outlay.
Lankytim Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Its weird how they haven't all been fragged by now. Maybe they were afraid of flooding the market with car spares and scrap metal, depressing the prices in the process. I bet many of those will end up sitting there for years.
oldford Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 That Fabia must have only just made it into the scheme as they were UK launched on 01/03/00, with some demonstrators getting registered in the last few days of February. there a clique up there own arse bunch on there for the best part I think we've got one of those on here.
Albert Ross Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Who in their RIGHT mind would scrasp a rerally late ex MOD 109???!!!! Wankers! I could use SO many parts off that... axles, springs (1 ton capacity) hangers, well. All of it really. Grr@scrappagebastards!
andrew e Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Dunno where it ended up, I still have some bits to ebay still... I stripped quite a bit off in the dealers (much to their disgust), but there you go. Did you know those Pinin badges are cast alloy with pegs on them? The worse bit was I was let down on the Cyclone Alloy for steel swap, so it disappeared wearing your 106's owners favourite alloy, and me a fair few quid down too.
Mash Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 There's a Triumph 2000 behind those Minis It's been said before but I bet a good many of these cars were old chod worth a few hundred quid but I'd love to go round and inspect the whole lot and come out with a good overview that could be published to show the scheme for how wasteful it was. Then the men in suits will hunt me down and send me to The Village!
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Something is afoot with this lot. I was at U Pull Urs a day or two ago, and they're not seeing any scrappage cars at all. They did have some cars from daaahn Saaarf brought up to York, but not now. What are the chances of these ending up on transporters to Latvia?
forddeliveryboy Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 The UK blubberment loves to keep foreign factories working. VAT made on new car sales paid for the ss.

The Reverend Bluejeans Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 VAT made on new car sales paid for the SS. They were bad Lads - especially the Einzatzgruppen. To think we paid for the buggers as well.

If someone finds a job that's inaccessible via public transport then they can be provided with a car for a minimum outlay. That's a good idea, but I can see a lot of ex-unemployed people finding work for a fairly low wage and not being able to afford the insurance ("that'll be a 1284.56 pounds, Sir, and you can do monthly payments at 27.8% APR. Oh, actually you can't because you're down as unemployed in our system, so we can't give you 'credit'. Mwahahahaha").
Guest Leonard Hatred Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Why doesn't anybody blame the gullible public for sacking off their perfectly useable older car for a new car at a £2000 discount (with £1k added on to the RRP by manufacturers knowing the scrappage scheme was being introduced)?

The general public like to believe what they're told. It's the same gullible public that think DFS is having a massive sale.
alf892 Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 These will be sat in Paragon's compound..........with chargeable storage around 50p/car/day Nice money

I don't have an i-phone. But I have seen loads of Nissan Jukes of late, along with that fucking advert. Is it safe to assume the general public are in fact idiots?
Guest Leonard Hatred Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I like Nissan Jukes, but I have the thinking man's iPhone.
Guest Leonard Hatred Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 This is the kind of Nissan I would buy. And this is my actual phone.

warren t claim Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I've always found the Nissan 2.0 diesel to be pretty uneconomical in Bluebirds and Sunnys. I can't imagine it being any more efficient in a Primera. One example I owned wouldn't rev over 3000rpm. Mind you, It was dead reliable and was an ex taxi with 300,000 on the odo.
