Hiya, for the last couple of years NoSkoolJustCool have had a small but perfectly formed diverse stand at the Retro Show at Santa pod. After an enjoyable get together at Cholmondely castle, the all round legend and 70's blue haired hero HBF/cavmad got together the likely lads regardless of the forums they frequent most.

 

This year we are a few numbers down at RC due to a few of us Northerners not being able to make it due to weddings and birthdays, so perfect chance to offer a few of you some show space.

I've not booked yet but if a few of you show interest in going on our NSJC and Friends stand then I'll see if a space at RC is still possible.

Have you already got an AS stand? Anyone interested lerrus know below. between 5 or 10 but lets see.

I might be able to make it, do they want exhibitors to pay though?? Thats what puts me off most of these shows nowadays, £15 an adult to get in...£60 quid on fuel, food etc etc makes it too bloody expensive.

Yeah I think you pay in as normal, to be honest if you are there for the day and perhaps the night before (real highlights were main show day) theres loads to see and do, static, racing, drift displays, bit of jumble, food etc, plus the chance to go down the strip or autotest (hit some cones), if ya want. I agree though Its expensive business specially if paying a WaG in and forking out juice, if you're local it gets a tad cheaper.

I can't do either (VW Expo this weekend and Retro Show clashes with VBOA show) but for anyone who is thinking of it - Retro Show was really good last year, nice amount of stuff and plenty to do. We went as traders last year and if it wasn't that it clashes with VBOA then I'd be there again.

 

Retro Mania - I reckon this will be a good show eventually. First year was a total washout and last year had a decent amount of stuff there although at least 50% is VW but from my point of view it was a waste of a day. I'd have earned more staying in bed. That said, 'Donttellhimpike' off RR had a stand next to me selling what can only be described as old shit - the sort of stuff that ends up on a rat look Golfs roofrack and the punters appeared to be absolutely lapping it up. Not a bad show though and the venue is nice so with decent weather could be a good day out.

Thanks Mr Lobster, Sums it up nicely I reckon. RCS at Pod we've been going every year and its been fairly good and getting better recently, cept this year probably can't make it myself, sooo many weddings, 60ths, kids popping out, etc etc life thingies in the way. :-S

 

RCM, never been, though it sounds good even the 50% dubber thing, so decided to go then possibly having a stand materialised into actually having one over last week!

 

So if anyone wants to join us for either of these...

Still room at the Inn for both. All you need do for RCM this weekend is turn up before 9.30am Sunday, pay yer gate keeper and find No Skool Just Cool, Giz a warning if ya do fancy coming please though!
