ATTENTION---Mouseflakes to reception--R20 in the vicinity!

Yesterday I was offered a "t" reg Renault 20....Its here in Ireland now but still on UK Plates. The guy doesnt appear to know much about Renaults but he said its a brown 20TS Auto...He is suppose to send me pics for me to decide whether I want to view or not. He brought it home from th UK last year..Firstly, does anybody remember such a car being for sale and secondly, is there anything I should look out for. He said its running well but needs bodywork.

Other than it being an automatic, I'd be concerned about the needing bodywork bit. A lot of body stuff must be made of pure unobtainium now.

Has the Renault 20 got a following yet? 30 v6 I would understand as they are a proper froggie hooligans car. The 20 was allways a bit cack.

Here she is,,a Black(owner is colour blind).Needs drivers door,lhf wing amd a few other bits but seems to be sound enough and its driving. Shame about the TX alloys. I would prefer the original steels!

Went to have a closer look at this last night-----Bloody hell,,,I would have needed shares in Irish Steel to patch that thing up. It was so bad I didnt even waste the camera battery on taking pics.

I think, if it's the same car, that it is one I looked at in Leeds, It was on Ebay a year or so ago, being sold as part of deceased estate. It was pretty tatty, especially under the inner wings on the front. but it did seem to run ok. IIRC the interior appeared to have been re trimmed in an odd stripy velour material.
