F*ck me what a load of ruddy crap! "All you have to do" on headlamp bulb replacement. I'd like to drag whoever wrote that outside and ask them to change the headlamp bulb on a Citroen C3 or Renault Megane. It's easy!

Plugs and leads - bread and butter service items? Piss off. Change HT leads when they're knackered, clean up your plugs and regap them.

Fair play on screenwash though. I witnessed yet another car rack up an MOT fail due to a lack of screenwash. How do these people see where they're going?! Also hate the way that garages top it up for you, then charge you. Even if it was already full. A great and simple way to make sure I won't use their services again!

To be fair, I just put new plugs in every time the old ones come out. They only cost a few quid.

having seen the effects of a broken tip on a spark plug - every 14k miles on my smart for them!

Hmm. C****n Sale were masters at this. They put a new wiper blade on the C4 once when I'd changed it two days before. I fished the 'old' one out of their skip and siphoned the 000000000.1ml of screenwash they'd added, and wrote another letter to head office.

They missed all the other problems out as well that I'd asked them to look out too. Like the whole car being shit.

A letter to head office? Two days is quite a long time for a Citroen component to be in service. I think the mechanics gave you a good service as it would inevitably have broken in fairly short order.

Anyhow the "easy servicing" guide makes quite a lot of sense if you own the 1979 Dodge Aspen it was written for. Plugs and leads are unnecessarily complicated these days; as is everything else on there.
