Any of you lot fancy a nice XJR?

Because mine may well be up for grabs shortly.

'94 X300 XJR. 156k miles. 326 bhp, 378 lb ft. Pretty much full service history with receipts for proper money. Flamenco red with oatmeal leather. Headlining beginning to droop at the rear and beginning to get a bit scabby around the rear arches (I've been quoted £400 to cut 'em out, weld in new ones and paint). Electric sunroof (rare option). Working carphone! Electric seats (not memory) with electric headrests for extra amusement value. CD changer (but the stereo forgets its there most of the time). I did 2200 miles in a week in it and it was absolutely brilliant to go across Europe in, managed to average 24 mpg even though the average speed over the 2200 miles was 70 - and I used it around town for a week.

It has an 'XJR' registration which kinda suits it, which is a bonus.

IT WILL NOT AVERAGE 24MPG anywhere near a town. I get 13-15 from it, city use.

Taxed until end of June, MOT'd until December 2011.

I'm gonna advertise it for just over £2k if I can be bothered getting the arches done, discount to AS people, or those who don't care about the arches, obviously.

Lovely, lovely car. A dream, in fact.

The reality would be this:

:(

Maybe this time next year, when we're millionaires...

It's not much more fanciful than an E36 3 series coupe is it?

BUY IT POG, BUY IT, 'bring' it to your house.

I've been in and (obviously) seen this car.

It's bloody wonderful.

Couldn't agree more with that statement :D

Good luck with the sale pete (Not that you need it, as it's ALOT of car for so little money)

Edit:

Billy i believe you've got some spare cash laying in your back pocket, sell the OMG(ega) and waft around in this ?

Love to Mark but the '13-15' bit scares me. A lot.

Is an Omega V6 much better?

Should be a fair bit as it goes but it's not going to be a 'full on' daily or a long termer. In fact I might have a home for it aleady.

I shouldn't be saying this here, but my old 24v Carlton used to average about 20 mpg in town. I can't imagine the OMeGa would be much worse.

It's not a Jag though, it's a bloody Vauxhall :P
