Some classic rally pics for your entertainment

Was sorting through some old photos recently and thought I'd share these with you all. Taken by my dad sometime in the early 70s I reckon (perhaps some one can date them from the cars) in Moffat (Scottish Borders). It must be an international event of some sort judging by the number of foreign vehicles.

Perhaps not a huge amount of Autoshite action going on but hope they are of interest to some (there's certainly a good dose of hat-shite though) - enjoy.

My thoughts, exactly!

Still, lovely photos, evocative of the feel of how it was then. Especially in a part of Scotland that still has rallying in the blood.

Reminds me of going to Glasgow early one morning, to see the parc ferme/start line in Blythswood Square, during the RAC. Seeing guys like Tony Pond, Russell Brookes and Hannu Mikkola, wandering round with a cup of tea in hand, made my year, then!

Cor! A Flavia backup car

Looks like an ideal vehicle to back up a couple of rally cars. Actually, are there two of them?
