Couriering wheels

Right, not had any joy advertising these chav wheels locally so I'm gonna entertain the idea of couriering them.

Had a lad ask about sending them - any recommendations for a company to send them through? 5 15" wheels with beefy tyres, how much should I be thinking of charging?

How do I even package wheels, seperately? As a massive long tube?

Ta!

eBay used to be ram full of wheel couriers, usually charge between about £25-£40. I wrap them in strong garden refuse bags with a covering of cardboard on the wheel surfaces underneath.

£40? Seriously?

I've already put on the adverts that I'd deliver them for a bit of cash..... £40 would get them most of the way across the country. Oh well, if they'd rather pay for a courier.

Hmmmm. I've got 5, not 4 - seems to be around the fifty quid mark for that, I'll have to use a "priced per wheel" place.

Then I'll need to get some bubblewrap that they all insist on - about a tenners worth to cover loads of wheels.

No chuff is gonna pay £60 to have wheels delivered. DAMN YOU METAL FOR BEING SO HEAVY.

www.parcel2go.com charges a price for 2ft square up to 25kg

pair up and they can be sent as 3 individuals, 3x£8ish will get them gone a bit cheaper

if you charged £30-£35 for delivery i dont think you'd put people off

Oh, don't forget Farce-l Force. If you do it on line and add five wheels at 'x' amount of kilos each to one destination they're not too bad. Whatever you do though don't accidentally lie about the weight after trying different kilograms (kilogrammes?) entered into their website as you might accidentally save a few quid.

I received 4 17- inch alloy wheels for my Astra by City-Link. The wheels were just packaged individually with cardboard protecting the faces abd bound by parcel tape. They were mint and the Courier didnt put a mark on them.

However, Paisley Freight specialise in the carriage of car parts countrywide and are pretty much the standard choice of most fellow car enthusiasts that I know.

They even have a Price list for commonly-transported items. Dunno how the logistics of that would work out but I reckon they could take the Cav wheels as a back load.
