A quick report on his activities

cav has reached these shores and is comfortably housed and settling in with his wife. He is still without internet so very quiet at the moment.

The 30 year old Nissan diesel powered GM product that he purchased over the net before arriving here has proved to be a good buy and has covered quite a lot of Km's now. I will never forget him running his hand round the rear wheel arch and getting quite excited that it was like new! And no , he will tell you all what it is when back on line.

They are living quite close to me and occasionally come here to raid the supermarkets etc as this town has more variety and is bigger. I have not yet asked him what it is like coming from Leeds to a small NZ town that thinks 10 cars in the same street is a traffic nightmare! And the old tat he sees will get him a bit overexcited too.

Do me a favour Stuno! Tell him his old TV is in daily use, works perfectly and will be getting a degauss soon to make the picture even more perfect. Much thanks required to him and the missus for sending it my way.

It could also soon be accompanied by a similar vintage Mitsubishi VHS "buddy".

^^^^^^

scary's Cortina has 13" tv in rear

I found the toothbrush fence place on a map, after wondering why I had never heard of it. Now I know why and why after living in the region for most of 65 years I had never been there. THERE is NOTHING AT ALL THERE except a weird fence.

And to think I cleaned out my toothbrush rack in the bathroom last week and binned the rubbish ones.

Autoshiters are a bit like Wombles, making good use of the things that we find, things that the everyday folks leave behind.

Repeat the above, but with "Hillman Imp, now with new head gasket" and "steel wheels/winter tyres"!!!

Thanks for all these kind words chaps - I've not noticed this thread earlier, as I've been working from page 7 back to the current page. I've been putting the hours in big-time these last few days and I've still got a page and a half left!

Who's this Eccentric Richard fella then?
