Selling my 1988 W126 420 sel. Massive spec including the very rare seperate electric rear seats.

 

123,000 miles. MOT until March 11, Tax until end of Nov 10. I'm looking for £1500

When you say separate seats, do you mean it can only accomodate 4?

 

Add LPG, subtract nasty chrome arches, equals WIN.

There is a cushion (removable) in the centre so you can sit 5 but there is no centre seat belt, just one each side.

Having recently sold a W126 300SE of a similar vintage, I am qualified to say what absolutely fantastic cars these old Mercs are. Dodgy lights, "chrome" arches and lowered suspension aside, this is one stunning car. Have a read of this months Practical Classics magazine, there's a feature on a W126 500SEL.

Aye. Top motor. My 300SE was one of the last. 1991 H and cat free. Silver with dark blue leather. Never seen another like it. Wish I never got rid.
