STILL after V6 Safrane spares....

Hi folks

I,am now becoming a bit desperate to find a Safrane RXE V6 for spares,does anyone know of one for spares or being broken up/dumped etc??

I live in Surrey so somewhere close to me would be helpful,but of course it depends what comes up!!

Would like a complete leather interior but thats asking a bit....

Anyone got any leads,i think someone said there was one in a scrappie in scotland??

Anyone got issues of Pratical performance car magazine,i THINK they used a V6 Safrane as a staff car and painted it in starsky and hutch colours,anyone got the mags?

Thanks for the info,but this is a phase 2,mine is a V6 these where only phase 1 up to 1996,i,ve broken 2 V6s in the past,but in a rush so didn,t get every bit i would like in my spares collection,one car i drove to my mates scrapyard,and only had 4-5 hours to get everything i wanted,including all the silly electric shocks,huge pump for the shocks etc etc,in the rain and cold!!!

The black V6 that kept appearing on e-bay as spares was a maybe and i offered to buy the whole car,but the seller wasn,t very helpful...

Sorry for the huge bump,but i,am still desperate for a V6 Safrane RXE,i,ve posted on the ROC forum and in the mag with no replys.

Someone must know the details of any V6 Safrane for me?

Must admit they are rare only 15 taxed and the same on SORN(although this is wrong theres less than this,maybe 10?)

So can i ask everyone to keep an eeye open in there local papers,mags etc incase they see one,will be 1993-95.

I would love a V6 safrane. It would bridge the gap nicely between my V6 25 and V6 Avantime!

 

I was following a guy on twitter who used a phase 1 V6 Safrane in some sort of challenge. He painted it funny colours but was still original otherwise. He offered it to me for £150 but he was down in London so it wasn't possible. It then went on ebay about 2 months back, starting price £150 and it didn't sell. He was desperate to get rid and I'm pretty sure it was scrapped.

 

I spotted the one in Scotland, it was August of last year at a place called U Pull It. A LHD V6 RXE with leather etc, I nabbed the manual pack which I've already given you details of. Here's their contact, give them a call and see if they still have it.

Is it not worth whizzing over the channel? Can only be just over an hour from you to Dover, then have a tat rout round Calais/Dunkirk whatever? Norfolk line were knocking out £19 daytrips recently.

I thought of going over to france,but surely its to difficult,i can,t just go over there and bring one back can i?

All the paperwork,importing,insurance etc etc,its madness and certain parts i want won,t be of use for me...

The phase 1 V6 RT that was on e-bay is still going,just,but was in a bit of trouble last time i heard.

The more people that know i want one the better as someone might JUST find one somewhere.

I will contact the scrapyard,you never know.

So many people think a phase 2 2.5 is a v6,its not as said its a 5 cylinder,the red E-bay phase 2 says V6..

The blue Baccara in france i keep seeing and think to myself thats not bad,but it is,look at the seats(which are actually useless in LHD)and its got the glass partion missing behing the rear headrest(bought mine from work a few years ago,over £400 now)

The dark blue one is no use as it doesn,t drive and has cloth(would like a leather interior spare)i just think the French cars aren,t going to be right,i want to keep onto a U.K i think,i do know of one that might come up for sale but its in Scotland,so a huge trip,but its got all i want on it,except its not roadworthy.

You can check in Belgium and the Netherlands, too. Not having much of a car industry tradition, they're the least car-brand-conscious people in NW Europe, so there often are plenty of French and Asian barges around.
