Lying abroad - foreign spots

Right, the photos in the Stondon thread are miles better than my pathetic efforts on the day, so here's some foreign tat instead.

First up, a few from France:

Vandalised Rover in St Nazaire, the last place occupied by the Nazis at the end of WW2

I've seen BX14s, 16s, 17s and 19s, but never heard of a BX15 before, what's the story with that?

And some from Gozo, where Ms_Liberator had foolishly decided to fly off to rather than sampling the delights of Bedfordshire (apparently the weather is better).

Fantastic! There are few things in life better than a rust-free bright orange 120Y saloon. the Datsun 1000 wagon is also pretty special. 10/10.

GR8 spots!

I believe the BX15 was a wheeze to get the 1580cc engine into a lower tax bracket to appeal to those who couldn't quite afford a 1600? I know there was a BX15E on the continent that had a detuned version of the XU lump producing 80 BHP instead of 90... but I've not seen a TGE - I'll guess that the later cars were rebadged TGE.

I think a lot of Citroen's/PSA Group's choice of engine sizes were tailored to French tax laws based on how many CV it had.
