Oh and unless you are going racing, that set up sound like 'too much' having experienced 1300+ Mini's with trickery, they are actually pretty useless to drive under normal circumstances. A properly sorted 1275 however is bob-on for a road car.

What a shame! I used to tinker with the old Fords myself and up till now was always a rwd man, could have an engine out and back in a MK2 Escort in half a day laying on the floor but these MODERN fwd's mess with my mind lmao!

Sorry, didnt make myself clear. Donor car pulls up, engine comes out. Recipent car pushed up, engine comes out. Donor engine in, set up and run. Donor car gets dead lump and towed to scrappy, and thanks for making me feel good about nearly hitting forty a la "youth of today"

I have replied to your other thread - not quite a characterful as your Austin 1300, I'm afraid.

 

If I owned an ADO16, I'd be inclined to keep whacking it with a branch of leaves.

She is not as bad as people think and is quite useable for a daily driver. Cant see myself selling her ever, especially once she has had the magic transplant and will surprise the local hoods in their Citroen 106 Saxo GTI VTR's when grandad pulls up in his 100bhp 1300!!! Cant wait.
