My car apparently requested for film work

I have just had a phone call asking if a film production company can a the green viva estate I have for sale in some film work based in the 70's hmmmmm how interesting! They said it's not a problem if it's not a runner it just needs to look like it's in the 70's. Aparently she is going to call me back.

Has anyone else had anything like this or should I be very cautious.

May sure you don't get it crashed into like the cars in A2A.

It's fr sale on cars and classics as it needs welding and the engine is partly reinstalled and I was just called out of the blue asking if the can use it in film work and how original is it. But I'm reluctant as I want to sell it quickly to get another car. It just seems strang someone phoning me like that.

If you are reluctant then go with your gut instinct.

The person to ask would be Fred Transit .... but she seems to have vanished for the time being.

You might do quite well out of it, they would normally take it away and bring it back, they will make good any damage and give you a decent amount of wedge. Production companies do have a habit of pissing about though so don't commit to anything until you see the money in the bank!

few weeks back i went to look at a trailer. i spent 5 minutes looking around the trailer then the next hour and a half looking at all the cars they have.

 

all pretty much standard 70's and 80's cars in various states of repair. the couple who own them hire them out for films and tv. they even have the Datsun that was crashed into the Merc on A2A. they lent an Ital out only for the car to get crashed. they were not happy. it's repaired but that wasn't the point.

done a fair bit over the last few years mainly via fred but wouldn't leave car with them , but never had any probs my est & GT will be in a horror film due out i think in new year working title was "see no evil" set in 1974

ive contacted fred several times about registering my car(S) for film work. never even got as much as a reply.
