Are there any recognised classics in there or is it chock full of shite?

Depends what you mean by recognised classics; I don’t remember seeing a Tartan red MGB or a yellow Triumph Stag but they do have some quality stuff there. There’s a Jaguar XJR13, the Aston Martin Lagonda in the photo, a Panther J72 V12 (none of your common straight 6 stuff), De Tomaso Longchamp, that Karmann BMW 8)

Cor! What a thread! I'm getting funny looks from the Missus because I keep saying things like "Wow! Look at that!" and "Fuck me that's nice!"

I remember when I was young going to a museum that looked a lot like that, although I think it was in Wales. Run by an old boy and his wife, when we turned up it was closed but he came out and opened it up for me and gave me a guided tour! there were loads of old motors round the back quietly rotting away, I remember a few Granadas and some 50s lorries. Inside there was a Chrysler Airflow and an Allard K3 or palm beach like the one pictured above.... does anyone have any idea what i'm on about?? I must have only been about 13 at the time...

Sounds a bit like the Haverforwest museum where we went last summer.

I seem to have concentrated on mainly 70s and 80s stuff, but if you've never been, there is simply everything from about 1910 onwards. Some of the old veteran cars I'm not that bothered about so I skipped through that bit..but there's all sorts of old buses, fire-engines, police cars. It really is the weirdest place.

They are all owned by an 80 year old private collector by all accounts who still shows up there from time to time.

Oh, and when you've finished looking around, there's a sort of library area with old car brochures and car mags!! I spent ages looking through some old 70s Fiat brochures..126/127/ Strada/ Mirafiori etc. They'd probably let you read them in their very 'autoshite' cafe!!

Wow, this is my dream, when I win the lottery. I'll have a museum full of 60s, 70s & 80s autoshite, all open so people can look inside them, complete with cafe and HUGE library full of Autocars, brochures and mags and books. Must have this little fantasy every other week - seems like this museum has already done it.

That looks a lot like it Seth, but it's not. I dont think i've ever been to that side of Wales. Also, this place was literally in the bloke's garden, when we pulled up he sprang out of his bungalow and went over and unlocked the shed...

also, forgot to mention, but this

barring the red grille, is the absolute spit of former-step-fatha_barrett's one, A reg too. His was much shitter though. Do miss that car, scrapped though, or possibly unsorned and sitting in a lock-up somewhere if i'm being optimistic.
