Ooh, Minimad, what did you do that I didn't? Thank you!

If you have firefox, simply right click on the image you want and select "Copy image location" , then paste that into the Autoshite message box and add the [ img ] [ / url ] (Witouth Spaces)

You will get it in the end

Or similarly right click on the photo > Properties > then copy and paste the address code with code%20here either end.

FAIL! Whatever it is you're putting in between the image tags, almost certailnly needs to start with 'http' and end with '.jpg'

You can tell I'm not a professional at this... :)

You'll get the hang of it, once you've worked it out there be no stopping you!

Wooooooow, I'm dizzy now, I got one to work! This was my last American car in the UK, my 1962 Cadillac. Isn't it just the dictionary definition of gorgeous? Even if it wasn't my habit, I'd have reversed it into the drive just so I could open the front door every day and look at that back view.

Thanks Minimad! :D Even on Fotki I have rather more photos than these, but they're a start. Posted Image

As I kind-of promised Hirst, here's my ex-LAPD Plymouth Gran Fury.

I still have the lightbar, and a load of other police kit, left with my mate in UK when I scarpered to the sun, so if it appeals to you, PM me and we'll talk price.

Sadly the car is long gone though. It was one of those heart-ruling-head ebay moments, and I can't even use beer as an excuse, I don't drink! I found when I got it home that the floor was terminally rusty. I'd bitten off a lot more than I could chew, so after long deliberation it went back on ebay.

Hope you don't mind me posting the rest ?

Care to share a story or two ?

Delighted to!

MG Maestro: was 15 years old when I first saw it, parked at the roadside with a little hand-painted board leaning against the wheel: "for sale." Two weeks previously I'd been rear-ended on my way to work, and could barely walk for the back pain. Not an ideal condition to go buying cars in, but Churchill had covered my crappy old Orion and I figured I'd need something for getting to work (not for another 5 months, as it turned out). So a plain old blue Maestro should do. Then I realised it was the MG; well ok, can probably still afford it, and itt'll be more fun. Then I looked at the interior. Dashboard showed 27,000 miles. Yes, you read that right, I couldn't believe it either, on a 15 year old car? No way! The general condition of the interior bore it out, and if I hadn't been in so much pain I might have just got back in my rental. However I wasn't going to waste the effort involved in climbing out, so I knocked and asked the price. I nearly fell over when he said "300 mate," but managed to secure a test drive. I only went round the corner and booted it gently in second, that was enough to tell me I was having it! After my back recovered somewhat I started driving it in earnest, and loved it. My commute was 9 miles of country lanes at 6am. How many times do you think I arrived at work without a grin on my chops? Not very many, I can tell you! I also exhibited it at car shows, including West Lancs MG Club's annual bash twice, and it competed in their treasure hunt twice too. Fat grey-haired geezer in an old blue Maestro with plastic hubcaps... I blew away far more than my share of chavvy Saxos! :D Pound your bass at me would you sonny? I sold it to an old mate who seemed to find the acceleration a bit much, but he was the driver the second time it did the treasure hunt, and he won! Some time later he offered it back to me and I really wish I'd been in a position to buy, because I loved that car and miss it. It would have been such a barrel of laughs here!

Better spread these tales out or my postings will get awfully long...

Better than that, Trigger: I beat him down and got it for 280! MoT did only have a few days left, but it flew, so that was ok.

Meanwhile, here's my Vauxhall Brava. This is camouflage here, as I live in a hilltop village. Everyone and his granny has a 4-door pickup, or "double-cabin" as they are called here. Mine, as you probably know, is also available as an Isuzu or Chevrolet, but being an ex-UK model it's different to the Cyprus-market versions. My garage had to cobble-up a handbrake cable, for instance, using a Trooper Bighorn one. This is the first car we bought after we arrived here last year.

Yes that's my Capri in the background, it's the only one of this type on the road in the Paphos district as far as I know (and I've had it 14 months now) but look what I was beside at a show last year... This Jensen Interceptor is just beautiful, and it's a member of my local club too! That'll be www.paphoscvc.com if you want to check us out. If you're over here on your hols, PM me and we'll try and get together.

Hilltop village, Mediterranean climate - sounds like heaven. Please post up some pics to fuel my dreams of doing the same in a few years.

Thinking about buying an old Gozitan farmhouse and making a home out of it one day.
