PBK now mostly French….

I have obtained a 1990 Renner 5 ‘Five’, 5 door LHD jobbie.   It has LHD headlights and obviously the steering wheel is on the foreign side of the car. It’s got a few Km under its belt but it is very solid and shabby in a chic way. It’s not been introduced to Gauloise smoking and only has the one small French ding in the drivers side front wing.

It comes with a full MOT.

It needed a good vacuuming, which was done between episodes of rain.  It will need a bit of scrubbing on the back seat, nothing dramatic. Engine bay is tidy enough, just a bit dusty.

Interior needs: the rear parcel shelf is stained and patchy, however I have a cunning plan for that. The drivers side parcel shelf mounting bracket is a teeny bit broken. The trim panel covering the rear wiper motor is missing. The rear seat doesn’t fold down as the pull handles are missing. Not bothered too much. It won’t be carrying anything major.

The fuse box lid doesn’t close. Need to think about that one. The heater motor worked but is quite noisy. I have identified a replacement though.

It struggles to idle without a miniscule amount of choke. I will spray something suitable around the carb area to see if the revs change.

A good service will be actioned ASAP.

Needs: parcel shelf bracket, wiper motor trim, RHD headlights.

Not too bad.

Looks good.

Assume Lhd lights with the tape? I have some rhd lights in my garage if you need any.

That’s a big yes please on the lights Jon.

Just needs a clean and polish overall. It is a cool little thing, much likings 😊
