I'd have gone but it's like £100 in fuel before even getting in.

I had planned to go this year, but I just can't afford 2 trips that far south, wish they would stage it half way up the country

You mean like at Mallory Park? Or the Heritage Motor Museum?

Not sure where the Heritage Museum is to be honest, the area I'm thinking is something between Stoke and Newark and up as far as the M62 ish thats almost halfway between London and Edinburgh/ Glasgow which is fair on everybody then

Definitely won't be there. We need to find a new house before ours sells. Or at least decide which part of the world we want to live in!

The Bubble Car Museum was a very good location I thought, I wish I'd have gone to the meet there now.

The MTOC and the FSG have their annual event there most years...last week in June

^ Not anymore they don't.

Bubble Car Museum closed at the end of June. Moving elsewhere apparently...

Yup, it's not much further away apparently......

Yep I live in the South and zummerzet is a very long way for me as well. It is a good venue, but I think they should at least move it around a bit. Brum/Cov is quite central I think.

Really ? That Byards Leap location was nice - just off the A17 near RAF Cranwell

Yep.

We have found bigger and better premises, still in Lincolnshire but with more room for camping, better rally field and facilities, larger café, and even with a bit of luck with an upstairs to the Museum itself. It's not on a trunk road and it has a rather excellent pub one mile from the site.

We were prevented from expanding on this site and we have searched for a long time for something different, we want to display more cars and more related nostalgia items to show the cars in the best way. That?s the plan, the website will be updated with progress, new acquisitions and pictures, we will be happy to take rally bookings for 2011.

The first one was at Mallory Park (near Leicester), the second at Gaydon and then it found a home at Sparkford for last year, this year and I think next year too to get some stability while they try and develop the show a bit more rather than havig to sort out the difficulties of a new location each time.

I personally think Haynes is probably the right venue for it. Its always going to be a bit of a distance wherever it is, plus the facilities at Haynes are superb which makes it big time worthwhile.

Yep. It was excellent. Far, far better than last year (which itself was good). I have a few pictures although I'm hoping reallyloud took plenty as I didn't get to see much :D Will stick the few I have up later.

Pleasure to meet reallyloud, seth, Nigel Bickle and Pandamonium too!

Incidentally Blackbird, were you in the Bluebird Turbo? Followed one up towards Bristol on the A roads - you? - it looks lovely. My mate whos not really a car person even commented how tidy it was.

Yup, was a great weekend. We were camping up the road near Castle Cary, popped by Sparkford on our way on Friday afternoon and then headed down to the show on the Sunday. Stayed last night too so only got back a couple of hours ago after a long scenic route up to the M4.

A pleasure to meet you too Mr Lob, and good to catch up with ReallyLoud again at last.
