Formula steering wheels , who made em

Recommended Posts

I have a few old 70s steering wheels marked up as Formula , GT britain ,

Ive been trying , just for amusment to find out where they were made , when they went bust etc , type in Formula steering wheels on Google

FAIL

Loads of waffle on Formula 1 / 2 / Ford , Tried advanced , ditto , seems wierd that in this day and age of Tinterweb I can find nothing of any use on a british company trading 30 or so years ago

Anyone got any old adverts in mags etc that might help me

Trivial I know , but its pissing me off now , just so you know what im on about heres one on my Commer ,

Autoshite fonts to the rescue ( I hope )

Were they not made by Alexander? if so I know the man who owns the company, if you need parts or anything

I went straight to the PerfMk1 site when I saw your post but didn't find the Steering wheel bit Claypole's linked. I'd never though about who amde them as such, just figured they were an aftermarket firm like any other.

I have one :D

Les Leston stuff [not just wheels] is extremely sought after. If you see anything at car boots etc with his name on it, buy it!
