it's on the BX forum now.

The BX had already been sold to a BX Club member - so it has gone now ...

Wasn't Tim was it Messerschmitt?

That was a good buy for the money, the 1.4s aren't a bad little thing and decent on fuel/insurance.

Cavette, firstly, are you Cavmad on the BX forum?

Second, it was Richard from Yorkshire.

Yes and is he new there?

richardd1652 - joined 6 April - not that I can talk - joined 28 March, me!

He has been buying a few BXs

I bought an XM instead of a BX. though, but still like them too much to leave again!

Have found another XM - but have to convince SWMBO that it would be worth buying - it's been in a garage since 2005 and was popped in there at 8 years old and 186k.

*Apologies to Alex for the thread hijack.

I quite fancy an XM, would have to be a diesel though. I think Ken might be offloading his soon so will keep an eye out.

Citroen BX 14 Leader...

I remember the group test of this by What Car? magazine in 1989. A slightly odd one as it was not so much tested against identical spec cars of the same size but against cars availalbe for the same list price (about £7,500 at that time??).

So the Cit was tested against an Escort Popular (dire), a mid-spec Pug 309, a high-ish spec Renault 5 and a sporty(ish!) Metro GTa. :)

Can't remember which car won the test. Think it might have been the Citroen. 8)

No mistake. Ledbury or Apple most likely.

And can't tell the difference between a TR7 convertible and a TR7 with a sunroof
